SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN - Trousers

SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN was a childhood favourite movie/musical of mine. So when I was given the opportunity to make a few costume elements, for a local production, I was delighted. Here are the trousers for “Don Lockwood” & “Cosmo Brown” - 2017.

☂️While Singin’ in the rain was set in 1927, the movie was made in 1952. Between historical accuracy, iconic movie costumery and the performers needs, I felt these 1940’s trousers met the brief beautifully for this particular production.
☂️I used an authentic 1940’s pattern reproduced by PATTERN RETROSPECTIVE a division of @evadresspatterns .
