“I absolutely love the Holly Hobby bag for so many reasons.  First of all, it’s adorable and took me straight back to my childhood.  Though more importantly, it was a very practical bag to use whilst sightseeing and spending the day on my feet; it fit quite a few things in it while sitting comfortably across my shoulder to spend the day walking around. In every musical there are particular characters that need their costumes to absolutely nail the brief. For us it was the dreaded Trunchbull in Matilda. She had to be fierce, structured and formidable. Every accentuated line and detail was masterfully executed by Lennie and Boston to heighten the unyielding nastiness of the Olympic hammer throwing champion turned school Headmistress. Working with Leanne is always a dream. She is highly creative, detailed and collaborative in her approach, seeking always to understand the vision of the director and surpass this with her innovative approach to costume design. I had a 40 year old tutu that was mine as a child and my own children had also enjoyed it for many years so it was quite worn out. I approached Lennie & Boston to see if there was any way of restoring it - the final product was beyond anything I’d hoped or imagined! My eldest grand daughter is now enjoying dancing in her “princess tutu” and this tutu is going to be enjoyed by many more princesses to come. Lennie and Boston has a true passion for all things Design and Costume. You can see this by the care that is taken in sewing together their costumes. We ordered a baby shark dress which just blew us away! The movement in the dress was so fun, my daughter was twirling around for ages. The detail was evident, it was made to her measurements, it fit well and even down to the eye and hook I was impressed with the quality.
