This design is both a tribute to Trunchbull’s iconic severity and a showcase of creative problem-solving—turning salvaged materials and technical experimentation into a commanding costume fit for the stage.

Design Process:

Sourced reclaimed and affordable materials from @reversegarbageqld, @maclaceleather365, and local discount fabric stores
Experimented with draping, dart manipulation, gussets, and pattern drafting
Integrated leather details, Victorian-inspired sleeves, and recycled textiles for depth and durability
